[Guide] What happens when I contact Focus Washrooms for a washroom refurbishment?
Here is the process when you send an in an enquiry:
If you email into our hello@focuswashroom.com address, or submit a website form, we'll either call you to ask a few questions, or we'll send a questionnaire by email for you to fill in.
If you call in, we're likely to ask a few questions straight away. We ask questions to make sure we can be of service you in the best way as possible. If we are not able to look after you this time, it helps us to suggest someone else to help you.
We will likely ask some questions around the project such as:
Is the project a full room refurbishment or a part refurb?
How many rooms need refurbishing and an estimate of how many toilets you will need?
Where is your site?
Do you have funding for the project?
And then we’ll look to book in a date for one of our team to come and survey the washrooms at your site, or we'll request photos and dimensions of the room/s for us to quote from.
What happens after that?
If you are asked to send in photos, we will review the information you send us, may ask further questions and then proceed to quote for the work.
If we book in to come to site, one of our project consultants will go through your project in detail with you and take photos and measurements.
We’ll also look at
Drainage
Water supply
If any design layouts or structural changes are required
“We ask the right questions to pinpoint challenges and then offer a range of options,” says Anthony, one of our project consultants. This collaborative approach allows us to determine whether additional features or a reconfigured layout might be beneficial—and whether these enhancements fit within the allocated budget. Sharing an approximate budget confidentially enables us to tailor our recommendations, ensuring you receive the best value for money.
Project proposal
Our estimators carefully draw up a proposal, considering each aspect and breaking down cost for transparency and to make sure everything is considered and included. We will send your carefully drawn up project proposal over by email and in some cases, we will send a hard copy through in the post too so that you have the ability to through the proposal in detail.
We will follow you up after we sent the proposal over, to ask for any feedback and run through any questions you may have.
Even if you eventually decide not to go ahead with your project or choose someone else to undertake the project, we always want to hear feedback so that we can ensure we are giving the best service and solutions to our customers.
BONUS: Things to consider before your project
Structural changes: If the project involves removing a wall or other structural alterations, we advise engaging a structural engineer for a comprehensive survey.
Health and safety checks: An R&D (Refurbishment and Demolition) survey is critical to detect asbestos or other hazards—issues that might not be uncovered in a standard management survey.
By addressing these factors during the planning phase, you can avoid delays and unexpected expenses, ensuring that projects finish in time.
