Washroom and shower refurbishment at National Trust campsite
Overview
The Waterclose Meadows Campsite changed ownership and it was important they kept the washroom standards ahead of others in the industry. There was a need to upgrade throughout and improve aesthetics in the washrooms at the campsite, with a required project completion date to ensure the washrooms were ready for the season opening in March.

Working closely with the architect, we achieved a minimalist design utilising water resistant materials to ensure longevity of use. We recommended products out of our standard laminate and stocked sanitaryware and brassware ranges to make the process as easy for the client as possible.
The vanity station design was particularly important to the client with shelves for washbags as a requirement, so we sat down with to understand what the exact needs were, then provided isometric layouts to ensure all parties were clear on the design proposal.

Trovex S3:60 solid grade laminate cubicles, duct panels, vanity units, shower benching were installed with our standard 15-year guarantee, along with porcelain stud faced floor tiling in the shower area to minimise slipping risk, and wall mounted WC pans for ease of cleaning and maintenance. Folding baby changing units in both washrooms were also included to maximise space within the washroom.

We finished the refurb before the required time, and received excellent feedback from the client: “I just wanted to pass on my congratulations on a fantastic scheme. The fit-out looks really impressive and I love the colour scheme and overall style – we must have the best campsite facilities in the country now!”
